Right to play

Right to play

To play is a fundamental right for children, just like a home, food or education. However, it is not always seen as a priority.

We believe that this forgotten right is a basic school for life. Cooperation, tolerance, respect, communication, discipline, trust, honesty, teamwork … these all are behaviors that are learned playing and doing sports. It is vital for society and stays with us during our adult life.

That’s why we wanted our Ngongongare Primary School´s children have the best toy in the world: a ball.

Better said balls for everyone: soccer, handball, volleyballs, balls for the little ones … But also, cones for the fields, stuff to play volleyball, sports t-shirts and soccer kits.

Again, all the material was buy in different local stores. Several months feeding the piggy bank made this dream possible. But this dream doesn’t end here because we are still dreaming big. Someday there will be shoes for everyone, we will put on goals and we will have fixed up the ground to create a more suitable environment.

"Playing is the highest form of research"
