Monthlhy Food

When you have the dream of protecting and loving human lives, you do it from your heart, without procrastination and turning back. Therefore, AfrikAmiga’s desire is to continue reaching out, sharing, learning and teaching.

This is how our dream ascended; in the face of difficulties, that some of the families go through to carry their day-to-day life activities comes our need to continue to pitch in.

Thanks to your solidarity during 2020, we have been able to distribute the monthly income to different families in great needs in the interior of Usa River, Arusha region. At the same time, it has helped us to give each other something that is priceless; time: in the form of visits, shared stories, games with the children as well as sharing their traditional food i.e. ugali.

Basic products such as rice, oil, salt, sugar, coffee, pasta, corn, flour as well as hygienic and school supplies, have made up this monthly basket of local products, once again promoting fair trade.

There have been four families, which for 7 months have been able to put their food on the table, thanks to this monthly basket. Later, as we would in Karatu, we decided to support them with small businesses and add value to their products. In this way, they are the ones who can now buy their own monthly baskets.

“The greatness of people is found in the small details”
