Writing dreams

Writing dreams

We started with 700 pens. Then came everything else.

Our dream was that all Ngongongare Primary School ‘s children had school stuff. Today, each of them has their own pens, pencils, notebooks, exercise books of different levels,  erasers, sharpeners … As we like to say, they all have the ‘basic student kit’.

In AfrikAmiga we believe in fairtrade, that is why we get all supplies in Tanzania. This is a way to promote sustainable local development. We couldn’t get books for the 700 students, but we could for some of them (which they can share in each class), as well as dictionaries, maps and chalks.

A big smile appears in our faces every time we remember how they received the school stuff. The joy of these children was possible thanks to many small donations. And of course our joy too.

“Don’t waste your dreams by falling asleep”
